Code of Ethics
Members of the International Neuro-Energetics Association (INEA) are required to abide by the INEA CODE OF ETHICS to maintain integrity, honesty, diligence, and respect in the industry.
As a member of the INEA, you agree to:
1. Place the integrity of the Coaching, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Hypnotherapy, Quantum RECODE Techniques™ / TIME Techniques™ and related Neuro-Energetic industries and the interests of the clients above their own personal interests.
2. Abide by all federal, state, and local laws and regulations in relation to coaching, hypnotherapy, NLP, and related neuro-energetic modalities certified by the INEA.
3. Keep all conversations, interactions, discussion, and details of a client confidential between you and your client unless it is legally imperative that disclosure be made, or written permission has been granted. Legal allowances to break confidentiality include a) if you are required to divulge such information in accordance with the law and b) life, safety, physical, or mental health risks to you, client, or a third party if information is withheld.
4. Conduct sessions in a professional manner and setting that foster’s client results.
5. Immediately cease a session and make a referral (at the client’s request) when information arises that indicates the need for a referral or consultation with a doctor or other professional to maintain client safety and/or to stay within scope of practice.
6. Stay within the services specified if working by referral from another professional and terminate the client/practitioner relationship immediately once services are rendered.
7. Clearly inform potential clients of the purpose of therapy or coaching, the nature of the therapy, and the anticipated length, duration, and pricing of sessions with you. Services will begin only after an informed consent is signed by the client.
8. Maintain professional boundaries, including but not limited to avoiding sexual contact and/or romantic involvement with a client during the therapeutic relationship and for a period of at least two years after the ending of the client/practitioner relationship.
9. Discontinue the coaching/hypnotherapy/practitioner relationship when the client is no longer benefitting from services and/or you cannot hold a good-faith belief that the client will benefit from those services.
10. Follow the presuppositions of NLP to the best of your ability. You shall have an attitude that maintains personal responsibility and be accountable for your actions.
11. Do you best to conduct business in the marketplace in a truthful manner, always seeking a “win-win” for all parties.
12. Advertise yourself in an honest, forthright manner and will not make claims about yourself which are false, misleading, deceptive, or outside scope of practice.
13. Only advertise yourself as a member of this association if you belong to the association and are up to date on paying your association fees.
14. Do your best to support other members of the INEA.
15. Conduct all business and services in accordance with all levels of government and international laws and regulations.
16. Pursue continual growth and education within your fields of interest to innovate the industry.
TRAINER CODE OF ETHICS
Trainer Members of the International Neuro-Energetics Association (INEA) are required to abide by the INEA TRAINER CODE OF ETHICS to maintain integrity, honesty, diligence, and respect in the industry.
As a trainer member of the INEA, you agree to:
1. Abide by all federal, state, and local laws and regulations in relation to coaching, hypnotherapy, NLP, and related neuro-energetic modalities certified by the INEA
2. Conduct all certification trainings in a professional manner and setting that supports students and learning outcomes while meeting all standards for the certification being offered.
3. Maintain professional boundaries, including but not limited to avoiding sexual contact and/or romantic involvement with a student during the course of the training and for a period of at least two years after the professional relationship has ended
4. Submit your curriculum, manuals, and slide decks to the INEA for guidance and approval of trainings
5. Place the integrity of the Coaching, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Hypnotherapy, and related Neuro-Energetic industries and the interests of the clients above their own personal interests.
6. Avoid holding yourself as a trainer or your training programs in a false, misleading, deceptive manner.
7. Conduct all business and services in accordance with all levels of government and international laws and regulations.
8. Pursue continual growth and education within your fields of interest to innovate the industry
